I get several emails a month from people
expressing regret for previous events, along with a
desire to fix the present by changing the past. These emails come to me
thanks to my having posted a video and articles about changing the past,
which some people interpret to mean that they can literally learn to jump
back in time, to relive and re-experience events. I answer many of these
queries in the question and answer section of this RealityShifters ezine,
explaining that while evidence exists suggesting that the past can be
influenced by future observations, this is not an area in which
I’ve witnessed people regularly demonstrating time traveling
proficiency.
We can experience many possible realities
What I have experienced, and what many other people have experienced, is a
change in our memories compared with what appears to be supporting
historical evidence of the moment. Such discrepancies can be indicative of
the presence of superpositions of states–in which many possible
realities exist as possibilities side-by-side. Not only do possible
realities exist for this present moment and future moments, but also for
our past.
We can witness superposition of states in our physical lives through
observing apparent changes to history–when we become aware that
some kind of change has occurred, such that a spontaneous remission from
disease has occurred, or some other kind of alternate history is being
experienced. This is the kind of reality shifting I write about in my
books, Reality Shifts and Quantum Jumps, rather than going back in time
with the intention to rectify past events so everything can be more perfect
right now.
Go with the flow, with optimistic acceptance
When we come to some degree of acceptance for what is going on in our lives
right now with the additional awareness that we exist in a superposition of
states while we maintain an optimistic perspective, we are able to
“go with the flow,” while at the same time enjoying
support from those like-minded individuals who care about what we care
about. With such support, seen or unseen, we can ask together,
How good can it get?

Quantum
Reality and How it’s Affecting Us Right Now
Does the famous clip from Disney’s Snow White
bring back memories for you? Have you listened to it lately? And if so,
does something sound a little “different”? Could we
be witnessing right in front of our very eyes and ears what my guest
Cynthia Sue Larson calls an alternate history? There are many examples,
both subtle and sensational that we live in a quantum universe –
not just in the world of the tiny or micro but on a massive scale –
and it affects each and every one of us, whether we are fully conscious of
it or not. In this episode of Higher Journeys Radio, we’ll
explore how quantum reality has made its way into our everyday lives and
how the old classical way of looking at life may be on its way to becoming
completely obsolete. This episode includes: A summary of quantum reality
and the macro experience; Quantum computing and how NASA and Google are
involved;
What role quantum logic plays in how we live our lives right now.
1986 breakthrough of observation of quantum reality;
Why not holding onto any particular belief system makes quantum jumping
more likely;
How quantum jumps figure into spontaneous remission from disease,
instantaneous rescue from an emergency event;
How the acknowledgement that “we are consciousness”
can trigger a whole different experience of reality;
The role of language and plays into the quantum process.
The anomaly of time and how we can influence or “change”
the past;
What are alternate histories?; and Cynthia’s alternate history
pop quiz (listen to the questions she poses and answer them to the best of
your recollection, then listen to what she has to say—ARE we
living in an alternate history?; The “Alive Again”
phenomenon; The interesting paradoxes of quantum physics; Does God really
know everything?; Quantum reality and the “fine tuned
universe”;
The Paris events and the “future” within the context
of a quantum reality; and the quantum zeno effect.

Laws of Positive Change with Stephan A. Schwartz
Cynthia talks with Stephan about how to be an agent of
personal and social transformation, with insights and discoveries shared in
his book, “The 8 Laws of Change,” and insights as to
what we can do that can positively transform the world. Despite a trend
toward neo-feudalism, there is much we can do to become more aware and find
the leverage points where we can make the biggest difference. Stephan
shares insights gleaned from thousands of views of our future, describing
how much of what has been remotely viewed has become reality. Stephan A.

Exploring
the Mystery of Consciousness with Peter Russell
Peter Russell talks with Cynthia Sue Larson about how
science has been so far unable to predict that any living thing should be
conscious, working from assumptions of the physical world being the real
world. Russell talks about the benefits of adopting a different set of
foundational assumptions of consciousness being primary. Russell offers
advice for scientists, psychologists and computer programmers at this time
of global paradigm change to embrace the metaparadigm that consciousness is
primary. Russell describes a form of meditation that requires no effort and
offers wonderful rewards, and describes what he knows for sure that can
positively transform the world.
Peter Russell gained an honors degree in physics and experimental
psychology at the University of Cambridge, England, and postgraduate degree
in computer science. He studied meditation and Easter philosophy in India,
and on his return conducted research into the neurophysiology of meditation
and the University of Bristol. Russell has been a consultant to IBM, Apple,
American Express, Barclay’s Bank, Swedish Telecom, Nike, Shell,
BP and other major corporations. His books include: The TM Technique, The
Brain Book, The Upanishads, The Global Brain Awakens, Waking Up in Time,
and From Science to God. His website is: www.PeterRussell.com

Quantum Jumps and Changing the
Past
Can we really go back in time and relive past events?
I get several emails a month from people expressing regret for previous
events, along with a desire to fix the present by changing the past. A lot
of people would really love to experience a do-over–to get a
fresh start and new opportunity to re-experience previous life events, this
time making different choices and experiencing different outcomes.
These emails come to me thanks to my having posted videos and articles
about changing the past, which some people interpret as suggesting that
they can literally learn to jump back in time to relive and re-experience
events. I have answered many of these queries in the question and answer
section of the RealityShifters ezine, explaining that while evidence exists

Primacy of Quantum Logic in the Natural
World
by Cynthia Sue Larson Cosmos and History: The Journal of Natural and Social Philosophy
Foundations of Mind II: A Dialogue of World-Views
This paper presents evidence from the fields of cognitive
science and quantum information theory suggesting quantum theory to be the
dominant fundamental logic in the natural world, in direct challenge to the
long-held assumption that quantum logic only need be considered
‘in the quantum realm.' A summary of the evolution of quantum
logic and quantum theory is presented, along with an overview for the
necessity of incomplete quantum knowledge, and some representative aspects
of quantum logic. A case can be made that classical logic and theory is a
subset of quantum logic and theory, given that elements of quantum physics
exist that can never admit classical understanding, including: Bell's
theorem, Hardy's theorem, and the Pusey-Barrett-Rudolph theorem. Support
can be found for the primacy of quantum logic in the natural world in the
cognitive sciences, where recent research studies recognize quantum logic
in studies of: the subconscious, decisions involving unknown interconnected
variables, memory, and question sequencing. You can read the full article

Both Berenstain and Berenstein Bears at Sams
Club
Susan
Maryland, USA
I thought you would find this interesting. I was shopping at a
Sam’s Club, owned by Walmart, here in Maryland, and saw a
Berenstain Bears book. I was curious to see what it said Berenstain or
Berenstein. Well it said both as you can see in this picture. It was too
cool not to share with you.
Note from Cynthia: WOW! What a find! Evidently, whoever posted
this item for sale on that store's computer system remembers the
"Berenstein" spelling that so many people also recall, despite the book
itself clearly being marked "Berenstain." I can't help but wonder whether
this Berenstain / Berenstein 'glitch' appears at other local Sams Clubs or
Walmarts in the area, or if it's an isolated case.

Alternate Reality for a City Block
Elena
Salem, Oregon, USA
I enjoy all of your columns and videos and I ve immersed myself in them
recently. I also started meditating with your cd. Naturally I became aware
of a pretty big reality shift that is ongoing. On different days there is
an entire block on Center st that changes completely. On some days the post
World War II homes are recently renovated, well cared for and maintained,
and there is a brand new market just before the end of the block. On
alternate days there are homes literally falling down, those still standing
are shabby and the old, run down market is still standing. There is a cute
little cafe in both realities, but it is seedy and a little scary in the
second one. I believe I started seeing this because of my deep concern for
our future, and my hope that we will choose the best possible future over
one which would make Ursula K Le Guin weep. The first reality is about that
hope, and I swear the sun even shines brighter on it. The second is about
despair, and I feel the anger and resentment of the people living there
when I drive by. They are the difference between a world in which the
events that took place in Paris last night (November 13, 2015) escalate and
become commonplace, and one in which the changes sweeping Myanmar spread.
As I have been meditating, etc, I am seeing the hopeful version pretty
exclusively (and there was a day it changed from decrepit to nice mid
block.) I’ve often thought that Mandela lived to be an old man
and did not die in prison because we collectively voted on that much more
hopeful reality. I’ve been thinking a lot about the Lathe of
Heaven recently-this may not be the reality we started out with, and thank
God. I would be very interested in your take on this. Thank you
Note from Cynthia: Thank you for writing to me and describing the
alternate realities you are seeing with a changing block on Center Street
that is alternately either falling down into a state of neglect and
disrepair, or renovated and well maintained. I have also encountered
various realities that have one day been one way, only to switch back and
forth from day to day to another reality--so I can empathize with how it
feels to see such noticeable and seemingly inexplicable changes. I've seen
my dog's eyes glazing over with cataracts one day, and completely clear the
next. I've seen the rain gutters on my next door neighbor's fence sometimes
being covered with leaf guard screen protectors, and sometimes not. I've
found that whichever way my head/heart/gut leaned in "voting" ended up
matching the way such realities ended up. Having said all this, I do
believe that the optimism each and every one of us musters in challenging
times definitely has a global, positive effect. There is much we gain when
we long to know the answer to the question, "How good can it get?" as we
wish the best for all concerned, and often we can directly see the result
of simply staying focused on what we know is good. I'm really glad to hear
that as you meditate and stay positive, you're seeing the hopeful version
for the most part. How fascinating to have witnessed it change one day from
neglected to nice mid-block one day! Yes, it does seem entirely possible
that enough of us wished for Nelson Mandela's freedom, health, and
longevity that we ended up experiencing that reality. And it seems entirely
possible that on a cosmic scale, such collective consensus reality
selection will one day be part of the explanation for how we ended up in
such a finely-tuned universe! Joining you in envisioning a better world,
love always, Cynthia
Schrodinger's Jacket
Vincent
Houston, Texas, USA
I came across you after hearing you on a recent podcast
My story seems to fit the idea of parallel realities.
Simple story: I left my favorite windbreaker at a local coffee house over a
weekend. The jacket went missing on Friday and I clearly had an image of
using the jacket to cover my ipod as I went to the restroom. I had
initially thought I had left it at a pizza place. When I went to the pizza
place on Sunday, they had no idea about a jacket left. Then I decided to
call the coffee house, named Beans.
I called them and they immediately stated that the jacket was there, they
confirmed the color and the emblem etc. I could come by any time and pick
it up.
When I went there, I told them I was the guy who left his jacket. The
staff said, "Don't worry, it's here." They then began to look into every
cabinet, stating, "I know it’s here. I remember seeing
it.” They then decided to call the manager, who was working on
Friday, to ask him where it might be. If that's where it ended, it would be
a case of confusing jackets. A customer at the store picked up on the story
and asked me a question, "Was it a windbreaker with an arrowhead on one
arm, and SI on the other?" (SI refers to Sports Illustrated, and Arrowhead
is the emblem for Kansas City Chiefs.) I said, “Yes, it was.
Why?”
He replied," I saw the jacket outside on Saturday night. For some reason
I took the jacket and put it in the back seat of my truck. Here, let me
show you."
Now, I am a 59 year old white man, and he was a 30ish white guy; both
of us could use some exercise. This scenario sounds like a bizzare
abduction scenario, but I didn't sense that this was a dangerous person.
He opened the back door of his truck, and lo and behold, there was my
jacket! I thanked the man and drove home.
After listening to you, I began to think:
(1) In reality one, the manager found the jacket and put it in some
cupboard (hopefully for 1-2 days only).
(2) In reality two, this jacket was in the store for a couple of days, only
to be picked up by this customer on Saturday night.
(3) It is only when these stories merge that I would have gone into that
store with the employees believing the one reality, the obscure second
reality revealing itself. It is very doubtful that I would have gone to
the coffee shop had the employees not stated that they had found the
jacket.
It’s like Schrodingers cat! My jacket was both found and
lost.
Note from Cynthia: Wow, this account of what happened to your
jacket gives me goose bumps, and I've been experiencing these kinds of
shifts for years! I love the way you take care to describe the sequence of
events, and the way you bring awareness to a sense of how it feels to
experience overlapping realities, whose existence can be found in peoples'
memories when comparing recollections about what transpired. And only when
comparing these accounts with one another do we pick up the trail of
reality shifts that becomes illuminated as the simplest explanation for how
your jacket ended up in somebody's truck a day earlier, when the Beans
coffee shop had just told you they had it, and to come over and pick it
up!
Books that Change
Charles
I came across your website and some of your youtube and found the subject
matter very intriguing and I think very much related to the a book I have
by Hugh Everett. Everett's Many Worlds Theory and your
realityshifters.com answers many strange things that have occurred to
me both in my childhood and adult life as well. Recently, I was rereading a
book that I have read many times before and had performed some of the
actions many times over a period of years only to read as of last week that
the wording—has changed. This has happened to me on more than
one occasion. I literally couldn't believe my eyes as I reread it several
times. I have little in the way of doubt, that our reality does indeed
shift, and does so many times in the total absence of our conscience
perception. Because of this, the management of my thoughts and emotions,
now occupies the very highest priority. Thank for furthering my awakening
of something so incredibly fascinating. The passage in the book was
actually part of a type of prayer that I have known by heart for many
years, and have have recited hundreds of times. It was identical to what I
have always known it to be for more than 15 years, except the ending
portion was different by just one word. The word "within" which was what I
have always known it to be, had somehow become the word
“behind." I thought to myself, “Have I been reciting
it wrong for 15 years? No way.” This particular book was used as
a reference book and is heavily worn and its the only copy I have ever
owned. Very strange, and hard to believe that a passage such as this one
which was committed to memory for many years—changed. The change
was just one word mind you, but I know like I know the back of my hand that
that word was not there before.
Note from Cynthia: I'm deeply impressed that the change in this
book involves a passage you committed to heart from a prayer in a book that
you've only ever had one copy of. What makes this case of reality shift /
quantum jump / alternate history so fascinating to me is that it seems
highly unlikely that you would have been reciting this passage incorrectly
for the past 15 years. The change of one word from "within" to "behind"
indeed seems significant, and I'm glad you noticed this and shared it.
Truly amazing! Thank you for writing to me about your experience rereading
a book that you've read many times before, only to find last week that the
wording has changed! I've had this experience with books as well, as I've
written about in my book, Reality Shifts, so I can certainly empathize with
the sense of astonishment one gets when you reread the changed passage
several times.
Dear Cynthia,
Thank you for your interesting website. I desperately need to change a poor
decision I made in my past. I struggle with being neutral and believing
that it's possible. I guess I have a mental block from trying it before
where I truly believed it would work but nothing happened. How can I
overcome this?
— Melissa
Dear Melissa,
While we constantly change our past, most of us are not consciously aware
of doing so, nor do we typically make radical changes to events we're
emotionally entangled with. The reason being is the emotional entanglement
typically is part and parcel of a quantum physics entanglement, meaning
once we're reacting so strongly on an emotional level to something, it's
like a dog with a bone that just won't drop that bone no matter what.
Finding where that 'mental block' (most likely emotional block) is situated
is something you can delve into on your own through making times of mental
peace and quiet, after which "Aha!" moments of inspiration are possible.
You can also glean insights when going to sleep each night, and requesting
to receive guidance and direction from your dreams as to how best to
proceed (this method will then likely require subsequent dream
interpretation). You can utilize a variety of other divination systems to
get to the heart of what, exactly, is going on--or schedule a session with
an intuitive. Whatever method you employ, it's helpful to remember that
this is a process, and you will likely not see instant results.
In the meantime during this time of emotional and energetic processing, my
best advice to you is to make peace with yourself emotionally. It's most
helpful for you to now embrace a state of acceptance and forgiveness of
yourself. I recommend that you set an end goal of getting to a place of
100% acceptance and forgiveness for yourself, at which point you'll be
detached, and can actually "drop the bone" of that past.
There are significant spiritual advantages to attaining a state of relaxed,
energized detachment for its own sake, and that's really the best reason to
meditate and engage in spiritual practice--rather than trying to achieve a
goal with your spiritual practice.
So start meditating, tell yourself, "I love and forgive and accept myself,
no matter what," and get started on this spiritual journey. Whether or not
you get proof that the past has changed, you'll be making tremendously
positive improvements that will benefit you on every level in your life.
lots of love,
— Cynthia
___________
Hello,
I have been interested in learning about quantum jumping for some time and
was told to read your books. I was discouraged up until I got the
recommendation because I highly believe in quantum jumping but every other
teaching tool makes it sound like nothing more than visualization. My
problem is I can visualize too easy and I need to work on the feeling side.
I want to jump to other realities, not only think I did. As in I want
physical effects of it. In short I just think I need the right book so I
can learn how to do it. My main question I guess is what is quantum jumping
really?thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
— Ashley
Dear Ashley,
Thank you for writing to me about what quantum jumping is all about. I
consider quantum jumping to be something humans are doing all the
time--that in the form of consciousness--of awareness--we are moving
between various possible realities. Through identifying with being
awareness, rather than identifying with being a particular body or
person-suffering-from-a-specific-problem, we gain access to a fundamental
nature of consciousness that exists as the foundation beneath all material
realities. A development of self awareness is necessary in order that the
successful quantum jumper gain access to awareness of existing at a higher
order of consciousness--at which level what matters to you is different
than what you would consider most essential from an ego state of mind.
Quantum jumping is thus both something we are all doing all the time, for
that is how Nature functions, and something we can all become more skilled
in through self awareness practices, such as: meditation or lucid dreaming.
Near-death experiencers typically have a greater sense of self awareness,
as do most experiencers of exceptional human experiences. I wrote my book,
"Quantum Jumps," to provide a practical guide to how simple it is to
benefit from doing things that bring you naturally to states of being in
which you are more confident, smart, with more willpower and so forth
through experimentally-tested techniques that just about anyone can quickly
learn and easily employ, with examples from people who've successfully made
quantum jumps, so you can get a feeling of how such things work. Quantum Jumps also contains a
chapter at the end of the book with answers to many common questions people
ask.
With love and thanks,
— Cynthia

Life on the Edge:
The Coming of Age of Quantum Biology
by Johnjoe McFadden and Jim Al-Khalili
"Life on the Edge" provides an excellent overview of exciting discoveries
and breakthroughs in the brand new field of quantum biology. Molecular
biologist JohnJoe McFadden teams up with physicist Jim Al-Khalili to
provide just the right amount of scientific background in order that
non-scientifically educated readers can understand what kinds of quantum
phenomena are being observed in biological systems, how scientists
recognize this to be true, and why it matters.
A quiet revolution has begun in the way we understand biology that has the
power to completely transform our worldview and lives. This revolution is
happening slowly, as a body of evidence begins to build. This evidence
comes from a wide variety of biological systems indicating that quantum
processes previously assumed to be relegated exclusively to the microscopic
realm of quantum physics can explain some of biology's biggest mysteries.
And as one might expect in a brand new field such as quantum biology,
evidence is still coming in, so only a few examples--such as
photosynthesizing plants definitely demonstrating quantum coherence and the
ability to transport energy according to a quantum random walk--can be
presented with complete confidence at this time. Other biological examples,
such as our sense of smell involving quantum teleportation, and the
European robin's ability to navigate thanks to a quantum-entangled radical
pair mechanism appear to be fairly solid.
In 1943, physicist Erwin Schrodinger presented the idea that biological
life is dependent upon quantum processes at a very fundamental level. At a
time when most scientists chose to focus primarily on classical physics
when considering biological life forms, Schrodinger proposed the novel idea
that biological heredity is based upon the principle of "order from order,"
rather than "order from disorder" classical laws. McFadden and Al-Khalili
state, "Just as Erwin Schrodinger predicted, quantum genes encode the
classical structure and function of every microbe, plant and animal that
has ever lived. This is not an accident, nor is it irrelevant, because
high-fidelity copying of genes simply would not work if they were classical
structures: they are too small not to be influenced by quantum rules." (p.
229)
One of the things I most appreciate about "Life on the Edge" is the
painstaking attention to detail when providing scientific and historic
background information pertaining to each quantum biological example. "Life
on the Edge" hits just the right mark in terms of drawing the reader in
with tantalizing aspects regarding some of the challenges facing various
scientists, and describing how scientific theories are in the process of
being revised.
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in seeing where biology
is headed next--or simply curious to learn about some of the deepest
mysteries of life.
Poems on Nature, Love, and Healing is an extraordinary compilation of
inspirational, uplifting prose full of encouragement when facing the
inevitable challenges in life. Even if poetry "isn't your thing," you'll
likely find the reassuring voice of a friend in the poems that Nurse-Poet
Jen Reich has written on a daily basis for many years. This beautiful
collection shines with such gems as, "Rhyme for the Sensitive Child,"
"Before She Was the Ocean," and "Unicorn Tea Party."
Poems on Nature, Love and Healing can be read as I first did in "random"
fashion, inviting the right words to come to you, as they surely will. It
can also be savored one at a time like a tasty delicacy accompanied by your
favorite beverage as the thoroughly satisfying soul food that it is.
What I love most about this book are the poems that reach out to those who
feel alone, sensitive, or misunderstood. There is beauty and grace in the
way so many poems in this book feel like what one's personal angels would
say, if we were to ask them, "What's going on?" and "What can I do?"
Poems on Nature, Love and Healing will be enjoyed by poetry lovers
everywhere, and it makes a wonderful gift for that special, sensitive
someone in your life.
Highly recommended!
