How Good Can it Get?

Inner Peace
“Every breath we take,
every step we make,
can be filled with
peace, joy, and serenity.”
- Thich Nhat Hanh
This month marks the beginning of the third decade of RealityShifters,
whose first issue was published in October 1999, featuring my report of Uri
Geller's visit to San Francisco.
Now, 20 years after that first issue of this monthly ezine, we have arrived
at a point in history where people are increasingly becoming aware of the
Mandela Effect. I'll be talking about the Mandela Effect and how
realityshifters just might save the world at the upcoming West Coast Mandela Effect
conference happening Nov 8-10th in Ketchum, Idaho. We're seeing
all kinds of things shifting globally in recent years, including all people
on the planet having their kidneys lifted up under the ribs for safety
(used to be in danger lower down from so-called 'kidney punches').
We're seeing entire continents suddenly being located in different
positions, such as the south American continent being radically shifted to
the east (no longer quite so directly below the north American
continent). According to some observers, we're not even in the same
part of the Milky Way anymore; we used to be in Sagittarius, and now we're
part of Orion.
Most people tracking reality shifts, quantum jumps and Mandela Effects may
not be aware of just how much combined power of intention we truly
have--yet this is evident to those of us living with the Mandela Effect. I
feel blessed to be alive at this time when I can see that some of the
answers to humanity's biggest problems might be found in the way that
thanks to the Mandela Effect, global and universal changes are being
demonstrated that can occur in an instant. Rather than facing issues with
anxiety and fear, we can instead adopt an attitude of joyful collaboration.
How to Set Ourselves Free from Stress
While reading a book this month called, "The Art of Learning," I was
especially intrigued by a chapter focused on utilizing interval training to
learn to thrive amidst chaos and stress. The big idea here is that many of
us allow life's stressors to rattle our nerves, since we have not practiced
a method of calming ourselves and practicing attaining and maintaining
relaxed focused awareness in all circumstances. The author points
out that the key to success lies in learning to relax frequently, by
following a regular practice, such as, for example enjoying a nutritious
snack, listening to favorite music, doing some enjoyable activities and
meditations. Gradually, we can learn to take rests anywhere and any
time--even when others can't, or won't, or for whatever reason
don't.
I am fairly sure I experienced the value of this stress-reduction
technique a few years ago, when I was competing in a martial arts
tournament in April 2016. I'd just competed in four divisions
(sword form, staff form, empty hands form, defense techniques) and the
group of my competitors was preparing for our 5th (out of 6)
divisions--sparring--by switching into cooler uniforms. I was taking a
moment to relax, until I realized everyone else except for me was taking
off their heavy-duty, full dress "General's" uniforms, and putting on
regular martial arts jackets. I realized I'd forgotten to bring my regular
uniform to this tournament--something I'd not forgotten to bring in
previous tournaments. And the gymnasium we were in was getting
hotter, as the sun rose higher in the sky outside, and more and more people
packed the high school gym. The heat seemed insufferable, and I had
no other outfit to wear than the hottest martial arts uniform I have to
wear. For several minutes my mind raced, with thoughts such as,
"You're at a disadvantage! Everyone else in this ring all have
cooler uniforms, and feeling cooler and refreshed, they will surely do much
better in sparring!" I felt my body suddenly feeling dizzy and
nauseous with these thoughts.
Fortunately, another (higher level observer) part of my mind recognized the
appearance of my negative thoughts (all about a situation I couldn't do
anything about), and also noted sensations of physical nausea and
dizziness, that were occurring in perfect synchrony with those
thoughts. This higher level of observer part of me instantly
directed me to, "Only pay attention to your breath. Slow your
breathing down. Breathe slowly, more deeply, from your
lower abdomen. Don't even think about anything else." I
then practiced a kind of Ki (Qi) breathing that we often do during warm-ups
and stretching breaks in my martial art of Kuk Sool Won. Within a
few calming breaths of no thought, I felt the nausea and dizziness slipping
away. A few more deep breaths, and I actually started feeling
good. I was still feeling sweaty and hot from all my previous
physical exertion, doing my forms at my highest level of capability--but
all panicky, anxious thoughts were completely gone, and I could feel the
muscles in my body calming and relaxing. My higher self then reminded me to
continue taking this mini break of deep breathing, only focusing on
refreshing and recharging--free from all thoughts. When my
competitors returned, I was fully recharged and refreshed, and somehow even
not as hot as I'd been feeling when I'd begun to feel a bit panicked, with
so many negative thoughts. When the sparring portion of our
competition began, my relaxed state of mind-body-spirit was focused, and I
ended up winning second place--a remarkable achievement!
I get the sense that probably it's not so much the thinking too much
itself that is a problem, as I suspect it's people not learning to deeply
relax (and clear away all thoughts) during life's more stressful moments.
I suspect it's OK to do one's best to follow the thoughts of Einstein and
Schrodinger, as I do, and then remember to stop thinking and just breathe
deeply with no thoughts at all for a while. I surely notice that
when I come back to reconsidering some facet of quantum physics, I've got a
deeper sense of connection to big ideas, and a fuller awareness of
creative, innovative ideas. They can probably come through, because
for a little mini-break, I've stopped all my own internal thinking
"noise."
When we take breaks, we can reap the benefits of information obtained from
our vast subconscious mind, which is constantly handling far more
information than our more narrowly focused conscious mind can cope with.
I've heard that the human body sends 11 million bits per second to the
brain for processing, yet the conscious mind seems to be able to process
only 50 bits per second. This clearly indicates our subconscious is
doing the vast lion's share of the work!

What is the Mandela Effect, and why is it
happening now?
The phrase “Mandela Effect” refers to people agreeing
that they remember something differently than is officially recorded as
being historical fact. The reference to Mandela is to the South
African political leader, Nelson Mandela, since some people clearly
remembered having seen his funeral back in the 1980s, which was decades
before he later subsequently died in 2013.
Thanks to online discussion boards and social websites, people have been
able to more quickly and easily confirm with others the specific things
they remember differently than has officially “always been
true.”
Some examples of commonly reported types of Mandela Effect include such
general categories as: celebrities being alive again; changes in
words in books; changes in words in movies; lyric changes in songs; some
key visual elements in movies being different; product names and logos
being different; changes to geography; changes to human anatomy; visual
changes to animated characters; changes to buildings; changes to names of
various foods; and changes in when songs, books, and movies were released.
The Mandela Effect invites us to pay closer attention. Like a game
of “spot the difference,” we browse our memories of
how we remember songs, books, movies, celebrities, TV shows, and news
events to have been–and then compare our memories to what is
officially recognized as being (presumably) unchangeable historical
fact. We primarily must rely upon our own individual memories of
what we had thought to be true, and we can sometimes benefit from comparing
notes and checking with others who might remember things similarly to the
way we do. People usually feel relieved to find others who do
remember things the same way they do, especially when those memories no
longer match the recorded facts.

20 years ago this month, the first monthly issue of
RealityShifters was published, featuring Uri Geller. I was thrilled to
meet Uri Geller in person in San Francisco on October 24th, 1999, where he
taught a course on healing, and showed how he bends spoons, reads minds,
and sprouts seeds in the palm of his hand. Uri's ability to demonstrate the
awesome powers of the mind is fantastic! Uri took a spoon I brought from
home (a perfectly normal
stainless steel table spoon), and held it by the bowl part of
the spoon with one hand while stroking the handle gently from
above with his other hand. The hundred or so people in the audience
joined in Uri's intention to see the spoon bend, saying "bend" as
he continued to stroke it. The children in the audience came up
close to watch Uri as the handle of the spoon slowly began lifting
upwards to reach Uri's fingers. The way the spoon bent up reminded
me of the way a dog or cat leans upwards to it's owner's hand to
be petted! If you want to try to bend spoons, Uri advises to use a
slightly
easier method than the one he uses. Feel heat and warmth coming
through your arms into your hands, and focus your attention on how
you visualize the spoon bending, as if it was soft metal like putty in
your hands. It helps to rub the metal until it gets warm, so you can
feel the plasticity of it.... then it bends on its own. It also helps a
great deal to have friends around you, joining you in this intention!
If you try to bend metal and nothing happens, you can try it again on
another day. Even Uri says he has days where spoons just bend easily!

Here's my newest interview (audio) with Chris Snipes on The
Melt Podcast. We talk about how to quantum jump, change the past, and
visualize the future in order to manifest reality in the present. This
conversation blends discussion of science and consciousness in a potent,
intellectually stimulating way that is simultaneously inspirational and
uplifting. This interview was originally recorded on October 26, 2019, and

Mandela Effect and Retrocausality
Higher Journeys with Alexis Brooks talks with Cynthia Sue
Larson about connections between the Mandela Effect and
retrocausality—having to do with the idea that effects can
sometimes precede events that caused them to occur. The Mandela Effect -
just what is this all about? Is this about a reality, possibly for the
masses, that is constantly warping and wefting, ebbing and flowing, and
literally shifting the past as we know it? Is this about our
brain’s ability to process information one way at a certain
point in time and another well into the future, or is this just about false
memory? Cynthia and Alexis discuss this in connection with what is known
as retrocausality - the idea that cause does not always have to precede
effect, and some of the exciting discoveries within the quantum field that
are supporting this theory.

Stories
Jam Changes from one fruit to Another
Lisa
Davis, California, USA
I have a favorite jam company that I buy from up in Seattle
at the Pike Place Market, and the last time my husband and I were there we
sampled some jams that we hadn't tried before. One was special in that it's
made in small batches and isn't sold online. We bought a jar of this
delicious blueberry jam and we've enjoyed it once in a while for a few
months now. It has an unusual name and is a flavor I don't normally buy:
Little Wild Jake Blueberry Jam. Yesterday morning I went to put some of
this on a toasted frozen waffle and was SHOCKED to see that it had changed
flavors and now said Little Wild Jake Blackberry Jam! When my
husband came home I asked him if he remembered what kind of fruit the
Little Wild Jake jam was made from and he confirmed that it was blueberry.
I showed him the jar as it still appears now--blackberry. I do love
blackberry jam and have another type that's my all time favorite.
Blueberry is not a favorite of mine, but I was impressed with this
delicious one both at the market and for the last few months! It's still
blackberry, as I rushed to look in the fridge this morning to see if it had
changed back to the former blueberry, but it hasn't changed back--yet. I
can't remember thinking that I wished it was blackberry, or any other
berry. I really liked that small batch production and the fact that we were
lucky enough to get it there at the market when they had some available.
It's a small thing, but something that I KNOW shifted, not just a foggy
memory. I am particular about jams, as my family will confirm. I am very
excited to have a reality shift to report to you, Cynthia, even if it's
something small like a jar of jam in my fridge! Thanks for reporting this
type of thing and recognizing shifts exist. Wishing you all the best at the
upcoming Mandela Effect Conference!
Note from Cynthia: I just LOVE this reality shift you
experienced--how amazing to have been enjoying that delicious favorite
blueberry jam for so long, and then find one day that the jam you selected
precisely because it was blueberry flavor is now--blackberry!
That's just amazing! And how especially wonderful to get
independent confirmation from your husband that he remembered you'd
purchased and had been enjoying eating blueberry jam that you'd specially
purchased in Seattle!

Reality Shifts with Comb
Brian
Winslow, Maine, USA
Another shift. Another trip to a parallel universe.
So subtle a change, but emotionally profound for me. I have not
discussed this experience with my wife, because the last time I described a
shift, she had no awareness of it. In that incident a blue hair comb I
bought for her had been replaced by a black one of identical shape. Blue to
match her eyes, you see. So she seems locked into the current
bubble-verse while I remember the previous one. She would not remember the
paved walk. And deep in my gut and brain I know this is true.
Note from Cynthia: Thank you for sharing your experiences
noticing reality shifts with your wife's comb that used to be blue, and the
section of Kennebec River Trail that used to have a paved section system in
Winslow, Maine. I can certainly appreciate having feelings of grief
and attachment to realities that are relegated to memory--especially when
others don't remember what you know to have been true. I don't know
whether you've yet made a regular daily practice of asking the universe,
"How good can it get?"--but I find when I ask that question every day, it
seems to me that I experience fewer annoying reality shifts, and more of
the wonderful, fun variety. Having said all that, I also experience
many shifts that seem almost purely random, which often aren't immediately
obvious improvements. It's helpful to adopt an attitude of
open-minded acceptance, since it seems just about anything might
change.
Tire Repair Surprise
Rachel
Los Angeles, California, USA
I wanted to quickly share a Mandela affect story of mine.
A couple of years ago I woke up to a flat tire. I had the tire plugged at
a local shop down the street. The employee showed me the plug and it was in
the middle of the tread. He was able to fix it and I was on my way. The
next morning the same tire was low on air so I drove back to the same shop,
where the same employee from the day before was there. He took the tire off
to see if the repair from the day before needed more attention. He called
me into the shop all confused. He showed me a plug in the tire but it was
on the side and not in the location from the day before. He was stunned,
as was I. We never figured that one out. It was so real, and also so
confusing! After this happened I knew that everything is not what it
seems. when the location of the plug changed locations I was forced to buy
a new tire. The plug had moved to the side of the tire where you
aren’t suppose to plug them. I would have thought it would go
the other way but then again maybe if I didn’t have that new
tire something bad would have happened while driving on the freeway?
Note from Cynthia: Wow, what an amazing experience you had with
your tire repair! I love how both you and the mechanic remembered
that the patch had been done in a completely different place on the
tire. It's so much more reassuring when someone else also remembers
a different history--especially when the "facts" seem to indicate something
else entirely.
Lion and Lamb Poster in movie, Terri
Pamela
Petaluma, California, USA
Over a year ago I watched the movie, "Terri', produced by
David Guy Levy, that came out in 2011. There were at least two scenes
where the "Principal of the school character" was talking with the
character in the movie, "Terri", and behind them was a poster of The Lion
and the Lamb. There are several scenes in the movie where this appearance
of the Lion and Lamb is quite apparent. It's even weird how they're
sitting there, and the poster is in the background; it almost looks really
really big, so I guess that maybe was subconscious.
Note from Cynthia: Thank you so very much for sharing this
Mandela Effect reality residue from the movie, “Terri,”
which was a project produced by David Guy Levy. David Guy Levy is the
director of the upcoming movie, “The Mandela Effect,”
so this is a truly fascinating appearance of remembrance of how the Bible
used to reference the lion with the lamb. Now of course, it's always been
the wolf associated with laying down with lamb, which sounds very odd to
me; I remember the lion laying down with the lamb.
Dear Cynthia,
Smoky the bear? Is it simply misremembering?
— Nathaniel
Dear Nathaniel,
With regard to "Smokey the Bear" (instead of "Smokey Bear") that's how I
remembered seeing the advertisements about "Only YOU can prevent forest
fires" here in California when I was a little girl, back in the 1960s.
It was easy for me to remember "Smokey the Bear," because to my ears, it
was so similar to the other famous bear I'd hear the most about--Winnie the
Pooh! So there was some kind of intuitive logic to the whole thing
to me, and I have to admit it sounds just plain wrong to hear "Smokey
Bear," exactly as weird as it would sound to my ears to hear "Winnie
Pooh." They're just not the same without that little word, "the."
Here is a video of Eddy Arnold singing "Smokey the Bear" with what looks
like some Cub scouts: https://youtu.be/Myz93sXW66Y

___________
Hi Cynthia,
I hope all is going well. I had a reality shift dream last night of
driving down the road and the traffic was coming towards me I’m
in a country that is left hand drive so I thought it was some one mixed up
then noticed it was a stream of cars so I pulled over and the traffic was
going the opposite direction in both lanes like it had always been right
hand drive so figured in the dream I’ve shifted realities in a
way that is too obvious to explain away, I wondered if it was a more
positive reality, so felt the reality, everything was brighter, lighter.
That’s all I remember.
— Thomas
Dear Thomas,
Thanks for sharing this dream with me--sounds amazing! I like the way you
noticed the energetic and emotional shift that happened after the change in
traffic flow occurred. And I like the way you are tuned in to
life's flow of events on your subconscious level in such a way that you're
aware big shifts can happen, and we can end up in a more positive
reality!
Lots of love and thanks,
—Cynthia
___________
Dear Cynthia,
I enjoyed this
newsletter very much. There have been times family members have come to
me
With unusual experiences regarding time, space. And Deja vu. They
really thought they were losing it. I thought of your newsletter. I hope
you don’t mind, I sent them one of your newsletters that closely
fit their experience. It set their minds at ease. Thank you. Best Wishes
always,
— Marlene
Dear Marlene,
Thanks so much for your email, and for letting me know you've shared one of
my RealityShifters ezines with family members. I think that's
wonderful! It's helpful for people to know that just because they've
witnessed something change, it doesn't necessarily mean that they're losing
their mind. That's very kind of you to have let them know that they're not
alone, and sometimes reality can and does shift.
With loving thanks,
—Cynthia
___________
Cynthia, I have a question.
Recently I learned how to straighten out my teeth with my fingers. There's
a certain way you have to use your fingers though. This knowledge would
have been helpful a long time ago. If I straighten out my teeth
right now in the present but go back in time to straighten them out in the
past what would happen to that version of me who straightened out his teeth
in the present or my current time? So if it's the new official version of
how things always were, then what happens to that other version of me. Does
it just rather become "a thought form" like in the Mandela effect? I do not
want to create two versions of me, but rather I want the best version of me
to be the official, only version of me.
— Amr
Dear Amr,
It seems evident that pretty much anything in the past can be changed /
influenced by the present and future, provided that there is a serious,
urgent, growing need for change to occur. In such instances, your
true self--in the form of your consciousness who is capable of traveling
between parallel possible worlds--is the one who makes the "jump" to the
new reality. This means you can "remember it both ways" and you
also can know for sure that the reality that has been jumped to is
essential and vitally important, so it therefore is the (new) official
version of 'the way things always were.' This question of 'who is the
observer' has not yet been decisively answered--so there is a degree of
wonder and reverence still in this matter. You could contemplate
that indeed the 'other version of you' continues to exist in the form of an
idea you can imagine and consider possible--as another possible
reality. Any time we pull different directions between our heads,
hearts, and guts we can actually go several different directions at that
juncture--so the best way to not be torn into different versions of
ourselves is to take time to tend to our spiritual development, such that
what we honestly need matches what we truly love, as well as what we crave
and desire. Unless and until we pull ourselves together, chances
are pretty good that in some very real sense, we're pulling different
directions, and helping create parallel possible selves.
With love and thanks,
—Cynthia
___________
Hello,
I stumbled upon your website when I was searching about parallel realities.
I understood some concepts that there are infinite versions of reality. My
question is, Is it possible to make dramatic shifts in reality? For
example, I went to the USA for university but I didn't finish college and
went back to my country. Is it possible for me to shift to a parallel
reality version of myself where I did graduate college?
— Kavya
Dear Kavya,
The short answer is that I believe just about anything is possible.
Having said that, some factors to keep in mind any time one desires to
experience changes to the past is that there appears to be a pull of
collective consciousness on us. You can think of it as your
friends, family, colleagues and associates being entangled with us to
greater and lesser degrees, such that what all of a group collectively
subconsciously feel is best, and that a tipping point of members of that
entangled group are open-minded about experiencing can then become
possible. So if those who know you also share your sense of a
genuine need for you to have finished college, and if you and a significant
portion of your entangled group feel they'd love for that to have happened,
and are somewhat open to such a reality, then one day you might find that
your actual past is different, and discover you have a college degree. For
your part, it's essential to attain an optimal state of mind based in joy,
gratitude, reverence and a sense of being in service in a positive way--all
the while also being detached, so you're actually blissfully fine
regardless what particular pasts may or may not have occurred.
With love and thanks,
—Cynthia
