the Fullest! byCynthia

Don't ever get your speedometer
confused with your clock, like I did once, because the faster you go, the
later you think you are.

Most of us would agree that time is a relative thing... when
we're having fun, it flies, and when we're doing something we'd rather not
be doing, it drags on for what seems like eternity.
The secret to enjoying life is to find ways to SLOW DOWN those good times,
and even to bring good experiences into the times which don't feel so
great. Buddhist meditators know that they need to chop wood and carry
water before enlightenment... and that they still need to chop wood and
carry water AFTER enlightenment. The secret is to find an inner peace from
every activity, no matter how mundane or seemingly boring.
Meditation is the way to do this... it's the tool we can always access, no
matter where we find ourselves. We could be stuck in a traffic jam,
waiting in a long line, or on the telephone on hold. No matter what's
going on, meditation is always available to us.
Meditation is a way of stepping back from the hustle and bustle of the
moment into a state of timeless beingness... a mindset which recognizes the
eternal nature of our soul, and the way we are all interconnected. No
matter which meditation technique you prefer, you'll find that taking the
time to slow it down is the key to finding more joy in life.
Do you want to know how to meditate? You'll be surprised to discover it's
a lot easier than you may have thought. Read my article What Meditation Is Best for
You? and find out how easy it is to get started.
I highly recommend Mind Science by Charles Tart for anyone
who wants to start meditating. It's easy to understand and inspires one to
start meditating every day.
