The word Eudaimonism comes from the Greek word for happiness, eudaimonia. This is a very important word, because it represents a philosophy which states that right actions lead to the greatest well-being of every individual. The Eudaemons of ancient pre-Hellenic Greece were guardian angels that watched over mortals, inspiring people to do the best thing in each situation, and eudemonics is the art of happiness that results from consistently doing what we know to be correct. Part of the original concept of eudemonics is that taking right action naturally leads to happiness, whereas doing what we know is wrong leads to unhappiness. This concept that we can choose to live happy lives by doing what we know to be right is one of the most relevant concepts we are likely to encounter, as it holds the promise of greater joy for ourselves and for everyone we interact with.

One of the biggest challenges facing people who consult with me for spiritual life coaching is finding the most positive way to frame their life experiences so they can most consistently find and take the best possible action. Sometimes, people feel a sense of losing touch with what brings them the most joy, and with a sense of doing what they are here to do. The idea of doing the right thing is one which invites us to answer the question:

"How wonderful can I be today?"

When you ask this question of the universe with all your heart and listen for the answer, you will be consistently informed of more positive ways you can think, speak, and behave in ways that shape your character from the inside out, which in turn is guaranteed to improve the world.

Wherever you are, and whatever you are doing, there is something you can think right now which will bring you and someone else greater love and joy... and it will only take a moment of your time to take some action and do. Set aside whatever you were doing and take some positive action by following through on that positive thought right now, and notice how you feel immediately afterward. Chances are that not only will you feel the benefit of an immediate boost to your emotional well-being, you will also feel uplifted and empowered in ways that stay with you through the rest of today and into tomorrow. When you take a few minutes each day to do something especially good for someone else, you will see ever-increasing evidence of how you are improving your life as you improve the lives of others.

While I practice several daily methods to boost my mood and keep my spirits up, one of my very favorite ways to raise my spirits while envisioning my life at its best is to watch my own personal vision statement, which is something like a music video showing pictures and words that correspond with my greatest dreams and aspirations. The tools and training to create your own vision statement are readily available through Malcolm Cohan's vision statement web site which can inspire you to further explore just how wonderful you can be. And keep in mind that for the very best results, you will do well to aim HIGH!

The particles that make up the world obey the rules of quantum theory, allowing them to do counterintuitive things such as being in several different places or states at once, so why don't we see this sort of bizarre behaviour in the world around us? The explanation commonly offered in physics textbooks is that quantum effects apply only at very small scales, and get smoothed away at the everyday scales we can perceive. But that's not necessarily so, say two physicists in Austria. They claim that we'd be experiencing quantum weirdness all the time -- balls that don't follow definite paths, say, or objects 'tunnelling' out of sealed containers -- if only we had sharper powers of perception. Johannes Kofler and ?aslav Brukner of the University of Vienna and the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information, also in Vienna, say that the emergence of the 'classical' laws of physics, deduced by the likes of Galileo and Newton, from quantum rules happens not as objects get bigger, but because of the ways we measure these objects. If we could make every measurement with as much precision as we liked, there would be no classical world at all, they say.

Time is no longer a simple line from the past to the future, in a four dimensional world consisting of three dimensions of space and one of time. Instead, the physicist envisages the passage of history as curves embedded in a six dimensions, with four of space and two of time. "There isn't just one dimension of time," Itzhak Bars of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles tells New Scientist. "There are two. One whole dimension of time and another of space have until now gone entirely unnoticed by us."

Bathroom Tissue Reappears

It seems our "pixies" have been active lately as we have noticed some missing and reappearing items around the house. I recently bought an 8 pack of bathroom tissue which I had set it by the kitchen table. Later, I came out of the bathroom to retrieve it, thinking ( ahem ) I really do need that bathroom tissue, and was surprised to see that it was gone. I searched the hallway closet, bathroom and even opened the garage door leading out of the kitchen. Nothing. Then as I turned around ( and I AFFIRM this happened), the 8 pack of tissue reappeared in front of my eyes, on the floor just where I had set it earlier. I busted out laughing and just said out loud, "Thanks guys; I'm glad you're around." What a strange and wacky wonderful world we live through! Perhaps it was so funny because the trick was on me. And it did reinforce the thought of looking for and keeping the miraculous in mind every day.

Note from Cynthia:Thanks for sharing this wonderful story! Many people do attribute missing and reappearing items to the activities of unseen yet very present elves, fairies, or pixies... and there are a lot of folk tales from around the world attesting to the ubiquitous presence of little people who occasionally interact in the realm of human affairs.

Vanishing Lady at Bus Stop

One time I was driving my car and I could see a lady at the bus stop. I passed the lady and when I looked in my rearview mirror she was gone. But there was no bus or vehicles around the bus stop at all. It was only a second that had passed. One time I was sitting in the park and I felt a rush of wind and heard a strong whooshing sound and the jingling of keys. It felt like a vortex of energy drawn toward me. I felt it was a relative of my boyfriends. I also heard a dogs claws on the pavement outside my apartment building and when I turned around there was nothing there. It was a dog named scamp that had crossed over. I have just lots of them! They were really strong when I first started meditating. Since I had cancer this year they are not so strong. Do you know of any reason for this? I thought it was because my body is still not completely well.

Note from Cynthia: Your story about the lady vanishing is a classic reality shift story, in the sense that one moment a person is there... and the next they are completely gone with no obvious way they could have instantaneously vanished. I've seen a woman vanish as she was walking across the street toward me... and I've seen cars vanish as they were driving behind me... and in both cases there were no exits -- they just vanished! As to why reality shifts seem more likely to occur after meditating and less likely to occur if one is healing cancer, I'd agree with you that it has a lot to do with how energized and relaxed one is. When your energy field is healthiest and most vibrant, you'll be most likely to experience reality shifts. They can be incentive to do your daily energy work, which will also help keep you in excellent health!

Missing Drivers License Appears

During the chaos of my daughter's recent move to Florida as she was moving her and her roommates belongings into their small appartment, she misplaced her driver's license. She and her friend both turned the place inside out looking for it... shaking blankets, moving boxes, emptying her purse several times. It was just nowhere to be found. Since my daughter was going for a job interview, she needed to find her license both for driving her car and also for her job application. After some time of fruitless searching, she called me up, crying I prayed with her over the phone, and suggested that we both thank God for exposing hidden things. After this prayer and as she was getting ready to hang the phone up, she stopped mid-sentence and dropped the phone on the floor. I could hear her crying and exclaiming with relief, joy and amazement in the background. She came back and picked up the phone to tell me that as soon as she opened her eyes, she saw her laminated license lying on the bed -- right in plain sight so the very first thing her eyes fell on was this small plastic card. It would have been impossible to miss it before, as she picked it up from the very same bed she had searched thoroughly over and over many times.

Note from Cynthia: Thank you so very much for sending me this wonderful story... it's simply fabulous, and I am so pleased that you had the presence of mind to suggest to your daughter that you both get calm and focused on positive results by taking some time to feel grateful to God for exposing hidden things. You can definitely do it... keep boosting your gut confidence that you are meeting your money goals. Prosperity requires focus of vision, heart, and gut... it takes everything feeling good, expansive and engaged. Breathe deeply to your gut every day while feeling excited and grateful for your excellent results... and keep asking spirit every day, "What best can I do today?" and follow that inspiration... and you'll succeed! The most recent news I've heard so far regarding physicist John Cramer's retrocausality experiment results so far is what he replied to that query regarding his progress on the 17th of October 2007:

"Duncan Prindle and I have been developing a new photon-detection system using better detectors (avalanche photodiodes) at CENPA (which used to be called the UW Nuclear Physics Lab). Last week we moved the new detector system to the basement of the Physics-Astronomy Building, and (in my copious free time) I am getting it working in the new environment and incorporating it into the setup on the laser table. In other words, no results yet, but we are busy." -- John Cramer
