How to Walk Through Walls

Do you remember the last time you faced something impossible, and felt like you'd come up against an impenatrable wall? When I face this kind of situation, I wish I could walk straight through. I've found that usually, my clear vision of going through the barrier has carried me through, as I ignored the obstruction and focused instead entirely on my most desired outcome.

McDonald's Bud Sweeney summarized the importance that business managers ascribe to this wonderful talent in his famous quote, "Make sure everyone is clear about the goal and ready to walk through walls to get there." We intuitively grasp that when we give no thought to obstacles, we don't tend to feel them. Most successful people credit a positive attitude for their success, and we know our heroes by their ability to envision success regardless of circumstances. It is possible to attain this worry-free state of mind through regular meditation, learning to release our fears about the future and anger about the past.

While Tibetan and Shaolin monks have a reputation for actually walking through physical walls, some perfectly normal people are also able to walk through doors, and fences... and they do it with no special training. What's their secret for success? The main key to success seems to be that these people look right through the barrier they're about to walk through. When successful wall-walkers need to get through something, they focus their attention where they plan to go, without putting attention on whatever barriers might have been in their way.

Next time you find yourself facing an obstacle, recall the stories from this very special issue of RealityShifters News. Keep your attention where you intend it to be, and just keep moving forward. Remember that when you know where you're going, you can walk through anything.

WALKING THROUGH GLASS DOOR

In 1986, I once walked through a large double glass door front entry when entering St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho. I was on my way to see a good friend who lay in a coma there, totally unaware of the big glass closed entry door, because it was clean and my mind and heart were totally focused ahead of me in love & concern for Betsy on the 5th floor. As I went mindlessly through - it both felt like a mini shattering blitz-out and like my atoms all attuned with the glass and reformed themselves on the inside of the door. I was through the door and on the inside before I realized I had walked through without opening the door. I thought for a split second, "WOW I just became that glass!"

A few people were coming through the door, opening it behind me. I must have looked dazed and startled because they came up to me asking, "How'd you do that?" I answered, "I don't know. I didn't know it was closed."

Consciously, to this day, I cannot tell you for sure how this happened, except to say that most of what I do that is phenomenal is done while I am operating on 'auto pilot' - kind of like how we use unconscious or sub-conscious skills while driving a car in a pinch situation. The thing about the 'auto pilot' phenomenon is that some part of YOU WHO KNOWS takes over in that moment. I felt NO TIME to fear or think ABOUT anything. I was in a 'going forth' mind-set.

I can also tell you that in that particular 'time window' I was playing with the idea that we are all 'creating' our own experience of life itself - every step of the way - whether we realize it or not. However THE DAY OF THE GLASS DOOR I was 100% focused on my friend and 'the me who writes with you' here and now was already up in her room at her bedside. It is like my body was following my spirit as fast as it could -- damn the torpedoes & the glass doors! You could say it happened by accident, but 'they say' there are no accidents. I say it happened because I didn't know it couldn't.

I RAN THROUGH A BARBED WIRE FENCE

I've been a reality shifter since I can remember. My family call me 'The Witch" due to the things I can do... almost at will. When I was about six years old, I ran right through a three strand, barbed-wire fence that I hadn't seen. My thoughts and feelings at the time were nothing different... everything felt just like it was supposed to happen or be. Like when the telephone rings, you pick it up expecting someone to be on the other end... that's how it feels.

When I told my parents what I'd done, they insisted (and continue to insist to this very day) that I 'somehow' must have jumped over it.

Thank You for the time and effort you've put into creating the realityshifers web site. Since finding your web site, I have read everything - every page - every recommended site - every story.

I WALKED THROUGH A GLASS DOOR

I once walked through a glass door without opening it, back in 1974. I'd gone to photograph the Fox Theater in Detroit, Michigan, because I wanted to capture the flavor of the theater for a restaurant concept before that classic place was changed. I saw the workers at the Fox Theater laying carpet, so I walked in without opening any door... It seemed like the door was off, so I just walked right on in.

When I came back to go outside, I could see the workers had finished laying half of the carpet, and as I nearly tripped over one roll of carpet, I commented, "Man, you're working on the carpets and the doors on the same day!" A concessionaire replied, "We're not working on the doors, just the carpet." I asked, "Did they take the door off to work on the threshold?," and he replied, "No, the locksmith adjusts the door closers. Nobody else is to touch them."

The workers remembered that I'd knocked on the locked outer folding steel gates to be let inside, because they'd left the doors locked all the time, and only opened to let people through the locked folding steel grate over the outside of the entrance... but I remembered differently. I'd just walked on in, right through that doorway, without any door there, either open or closed. For those doors to be propped open, they would have been wedged against the carpet with a rubber door wedge, of which there were none seen there.

STEEL BEAMS RAINED DOWN ON TOP OF MY SON

My son, Scott, was about 21 years old and had taken a semi load of scrap iron from Lewiston, ID to the Tri-Cities, WA. He unloaded there and was picking up another load of huge steel beams for the Early Bird Building Supply in Clarkston, WA. Since the trucker is responsible for what they call 'settling the load,' Scott was up top of the trailer easing each steel beam down in a stable pile on the semi trailer as the crane operator lowered them down - one by one. Those steel beams weighed about 5 tons each.

When about half of the steel beams were piled on, and another one slowly descended, the chain holding the beam glitched and came loose, letting the steel beam free fall about 20 feet to the top of the load. It landed a bit cross ways and just missed Scott's feet by a foot. The crashing beam jarred the piled beams loose and the whole lot tumbled to the ground off of the semi trailer with my son right in the middle of it all.

When my son was telling me the above story the next day after it happened I exclaimed, "Oh my God Scott! What did you do? He said, I went into 'auto-pilot' mom. There was nothing I could do, so I hugged my arms as tight as I could and I said, "Oh God, Thank you for my life! Oh God, Thank You for my life!" OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.

When everything quit crashing down around him the crane operator carefully lifted the pile of steel beams one by one off of Scott. The crane operator could not believe his eyes! There was not one scratch on Scott anywhere. Not even a bump on the head... but he had blood blisters that remained for five days on the backs of both arms where he had hugged himself so tightly during the beam loading accident.

That day was my son's initiation into BEING a self sufficient adult human being. The faith, or whatever you would call it, that he got from that experience now carries him through every day.

(5) Reality Shifters Q & A

Q: I'm feeling a little detached from everything, and I believe it is because my mother keeps trying to reach out to me. Right now, I'm in a state of re-evaluating my relationship with her, and am not able to make contact with her. I feel that she is spending a lot of time trying to send thoughts, energy, guilt, to me. Despite my household and personal shielding she is getting through. Does anyone have any advice on how I can completely block her so that I can get back into my own existence?

A: The question about what to do when someone is consciously or unconsciously sending unwanted energy to you is an excellent one. This topic comes up in almost every telephone consultation I do, because it's such a basic concern. We are all connected to those we love through auric cords of energy, as I describe in my book Aura Advantage. People who talk about "close-knit" communities and the ties that bind are describing a very real energetic phenomenon. These auric cords can be energizing and supporting, or draining and controlling.

Whenever you are in a close relationship which is based on conditional love, the auric cords that connect you to others appear somewhat dark. Relationships based on conditional love feel unpleasant, because they are full of expectations ("I love you if..."), rather than unconditional love ("I love you no matter what"). When you are ready to cut unhealthy cords and re-establish unconditional love cords, you can use a sharp fast noise and expression of Qi (such as slapping your hands together so they make a loud clap as you exhale a fast breath). Visualize the cord being cut, and send the part of the energy cord connected to the other person back to them. Bring healing light to the place where the energy cord connected to you, and intend similar healing for the other person. You may then reconnect, with an auric cord of pure, bright light and no darkness -- a connection of pure unconditional love.
