While visiting the lovely town of Solvang, California this month, the concepts of spacetime and time shifts were very much on my mind... which seemed perfectly appropriate in a town where it is possible to squint your eyes and imagine you've just walked back in time. Such a time travel meditation reminds me how I have been fortunate to have encountered my future self walking back in time into my life, as I describe in my book, Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World. This was a pivotal experience that led me to wonder how it could be possible for a future me to have come back in time to talk to the sixteen year old me... and to physically remove an object from my room. Thanks to this mysterious experience and many, many others, I have dedicated my life work to exploring the way our thoughts and feelings change the physical world.

I'm delighted to announce that my book, Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World is now published and available in ebook form! I originally published this book in 1999 as a limited edition manuscript for students of my reality shifting workshops. Reality Shifts was immediately recognized as a significant contribution to the field of consciousness by three of my personal heroes who each wrote glowing endorsements for it: physicist and best-selling author Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, best-selling author Dr. Larry Dossey, and NASA astronaut and Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) founder Dr. Edgar Mitchell. With endorsements such as these, one might think Reality Shifts would have been quickly snapped up for publication by one of the large publishing companies, but this was not the case, since the material in Reality Shifts was (and still is) on the cutting edge.

My literary agent showed the book to many publishers, all of whom were concerned at the time that there would be limited interest in what appeared to be a rather narrow topic. This, of course, was many years before the movie What the Bleep Do We Know?! appeared, and many years before Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra and many others came out with books along very similar lines. What remains extraordinarily unique about Reality Shifts is the way it presents an amazing subject in such down-to-earth terms, with exercises for how to shift reality in useful, enjoyable ways, and with an explanations of the physics behind reality shifts. I've now posted an excerpt of Reality Shifts, which you can see by clicking, Look Inside the Book, at my web site. This excerpt contains the table of contents and the first twenty pages of the book, which includes an explanation of how we construct reality, and a story about some sand crabs I encountered one day at the beach.

Time shifting is a relatively new term which describes the ancient phenomenon observed by shamans, yogis, and other spiritual adepts capable of accessing, experiencing and influencing events in the past, present, and future. Time shifts are reality shifts in which the dimension of reality we know as "time" undergoes some kind of observable transformation. Time shifts appear to us in such a way that we can observe them in the form of time loops, time travel, time slowing down, and retrocausality.

MY PRAYERS WENT BACK TO THE PAST TO HELP SAVE MY HUSBAND-TO-BE

My husband is a pilot, so we've moved a lot and lived in several other countries. He jokes with me that my prayers went back to the past to keep him alive after an accident so that he could be my husband. I had believed that even the "dry bones" could be raised up to be sent the right husband, and had felt inspired to make this prayer. I did not have a conscious awareness of a connection to my husband in the past. I know God was big enough that, if need be, He could alter the past to answer my prayers. Thus I made the "raise up the dry bones" prayers which were inspired by the book of Ezekiel. Since meeting my husband, both of us have had an awareness that we are soul mates and have shared other realities. My husband said he rolled his car off a cliff and had to have a helicopter rescue, however there was someone at his side the whole time. There was no way someone could have crawled down the cliff to him if rescue workers couldn't reach him. He's convinced it was an angel. He showed me the spot, and I'd have to agree.

ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS APPEARED IN DRAWER

I know you may not remember me, but I attended your first class in Sacramento with Alijandra. I have read " Aura Advantage and have listened to your meditation CD; all of these materials have been very useful and fascinating. About a month ago, over $1,000 mysteriously appeared in one of my desk drawers. It appeared in an obvious place, so I don't think I could have possibly "over looked" it. This was a truly remarkable reality shift. In smaller ways, other shifts in reality are constantly happening around me. Books which I have found interesting regarding the "mysterious" appearance of things are the three "Oversoul Seven" books of Jane Roberts.

FOOD APPEARED IN THE REFRIGERATOR

I'm a registered nurse who is married, with three children, and I've had many instances of food appearing in the refrigerator when we needed it. It happened once, before I was re-married, when I was in-between jobs and had little money. I acknowledged that I was totally reliant on God to supply my needs. In my pretty empty refrigerator one day, I found a container of yogurt, which I definitely would have noticed if it had been there earlier. Another time, in Tonga (a Pacific island), we'd been living on beans and bread for weeks... and then one day I found a pack of meat in the fridge.

The other night, my husband called from the store and said he thought we needed milk, since the milk carton was only a quarter full after giving my daughter cereal. I thought, "Then make it full." My husband decided to go ahead and get milk. We had a good, joyful laugh when he got home to discover the carton in the refrigerator was now full! I know some of this, if not all, sounds made up. Having read of instances where it's happened to others, I think it makes it easier for me to believe it's possible for God to do these things. I applaud you dedication to sharing and helping people change their reality.

Q: Let me ask, when you went invisible, were you trying to? Did you see (not see?) yourself go invisible? Was anyone else there? How long did it last? Could you walk around invisible? Sometimes I have wished for something and put all my mind to it, thinking on it hard to see it happen, and then a little voice inside says 'don't you remember the story of the monkey's paw?' That plants a seed inside my head that says, 'You shouldn't or can't really do this,' or 'You don't deserve to have that kind of power.' How do you deal with this barrier? Have a great day!

A: Hi, Steve!
When I've gone invisible, I was praying that I would... as I felt I truly needed to. On two occasions, I did this on my own. On a third occasion, I did shielded myself and another. I did not look invisible to myself, but those staring directly at me did not see me. My best answer to your query about overcoming those inner doubts is, prayer and meditation. The key is to allow your consciousness to be expanded above and beyond the ordinary ego depth, breadth and height... to the full limitless possibility we're tapped into with the enlightened awareness of high self. To my knowledge, that's only ever accessible (while alive) via prayer and meditation. Near death experiences can bring people to a similar state of awareness as well.
