How Good Can it Get?

My favorite days are the ones when I am full of enthusiasm and confidence that no matter what is unfolding, everything is going to be fine. The challenge for most of us is to get and stay enthused even when events seem to conspire to interfere with our plans. How can we feel consistently positive and enthusiastic when facing people, places and things that energetically bring us down?

The key to awakening and revitalizing enthusiasm is to reacquaint ourselves with our values, identity, and sense of purpose. Having faith in meaningfully helping others can give us confidence and a broader view of the world around us. We have much to gain by understanding that our brains sometimes recall information inaccurately, and that we are interpreting events based on our own (possibly misguided) memories of past events. Noting that we might just as easily focus our attention on what is going well and what we are enthusiastic about, rather than on the wet blankets and nay-sayers in our midst, it is then possible to choose to be happy, no matter what.

Recent studies by neurological scientists report that our grip on reality is slim, and that more than 20% of the time, people think they have imagined words they have actually been shown, or reported that they had seen words which in fact they had just imagined. These findings by Dr. Paul Burgess and his colleagues at the University College of London demonstrate just how difficult it can be to discriminate information from the outside world with our internal, malleable memory maps. While as the authors suggest, we can sometimes encounter the dark shadow side of this blurring between imagination and actual memories that can lead to mistaken eyewitness identification and false testimony, this kind of inner uncertainty also provides us with a tremendous gift: a mental mechanism similar to the clutch on our car which allows us to switch gears, so we might more easily move from one reality to another.

The marvelous ability we humans have to maintain an element of uncertainty is what I consider to be one of the primary factors enabling us to have miraculous shifts in reality where money, food, gas, and other necessary items appear seemingly out of the blue exactly when needed. Just as the nature of how something is observed will influence how quanta "choose" whether to behave as particles or energy waves, so too does the way we humans review evidence of past experiences as either absolutes or probabilities influence our ability to fluidly shift between various realities. The advantage of having supple minds is that we can more readily experience phenomenal synchronicities, coincidences, miracles, and enjoyable reality shifts in which we continually find out how good our lives can get, as we literally step from one universe into another. The challenge each of us faces is then primarily one of envisioning future worlds we would love to experience.

I am honored and delighted this month to recommend a marvelous new book, Mind Programming, by Eldon Taylor that illustrates how easily hypnotized most of us can be and provides readers with tools for recognizing ways we are vulnerable, as well as ways we can overcome these vulnerabilities and regain mastery of our minds. Our Grip On Reality Is Slim, Says University College London Scientist

The neurological basis for poor witness statements and hallucinations has been found by scientists at UCL (University College London). In over a fifth of cases, people wrongly remembered whether they actually witnessed an event or just imagined it, according to a paper published in NeuroImage. Dr Jon Simons and Dr Paul Burgess led the study at the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience. Dr Burgess said: "In our tests volunteers either thought they had imagined words which they had actually been shown or said they had seen words which in fact they had just imagined - in over 20 per cent of cases. That is quite a lot of mistakes to be making, and shows how fallible our memory is - or perhaps, how slim our grip on reality is! "Our work has implications for the validity of witness statements and agrees with other studies that show that our mind sometimes fills in memory gaps for us, and we confuse what we imagined occurred in a situation - which is related to what we expect to happen or what usually happens - with what actually happened.

Does DNA Have Telepathic Properties?

DNA has been found to have a bizarre ability to put itself together, even at a distance, when according to known science it shouldn't be able to. Explanation: None, at least not yet. Scientists are reporting evidence that contrary to our current beliefs about what is possible, intact double-stranded DNA has the "amazing" ability to recognize similarities in other DNA strands from a distance. Somehow they are able to identify one another, and the tiny bits of genetic material tend to congregate with similar DNA. The recognition of similar sequences in DNA's chemical subunits, occurs in a way unrecognized by science. There is no known reason why the DNA is able to combine the way it does, and from a current theoretical standpoint this feat should be chemically impossible.

Time Slip from 1974 to 1910

In 1974 in Dunedin, New Zealand when I was 14 years old and working after school as a telegram delivery boy, I once walked into a small tea distributing warehouse with a telegram. When I walked through a door into the medium-sized office, the office was empty, but what struck my young mind was how odd it was that this business was fully furnished with antique furniture and commercial office equipment. It also seemed unusual to me that there was no electricity, only gas lights all around the alcotroves of the office, and that one central gas light was outfitted with very old fashioned glass bulbs. To my surprise on further investigating the office, I noted that the gas lights had pilot lights to light them. I spotted an old stand-up type of phone with the hanging ear piece, and thought to myself that it must be an ornament, but when I picked it up and playfully yelled "Operator!" into it, to my amazement I heard the operator answer me, as I saw this was indeed a fully working phone, complete with a braided cord connected to the wall. Wow! Just then, I was alerted by a young lady asking me what I was doing, so I spun around to face her, and saw that she wore an old-fashioned dress that went down all the way to her ankles, with a white blouse. She was fascinated by my school uniform and polyester skivy top I had on under my school sweater, and asked me to remove my sweater so she could better inspect the strange material she had never seen or heard of. She was clearly a woman of fashion as most young attractive ladies are, and I asked her why she was wearing such an old-fashioned dress. She retorted it was the latest in fashion for 1910. For some reason, I didn't take her comment with any surprise I DON'T KNOW WHY, but as she was fascinated with my "unusual strange uniform," as she called it, I informed her that it was the latest 1974 design. She laughed, and when I handed her the telegram she was struck by how strange it was, because of the plastic window on the envelope. She asked me, "What is this clear see-through thing?" Well, plastic and polyester weren't discovered until the 1920s.

For many years after I never gave this strange experience much thought, until the last 20 years, where I strung my memory together regarding what this experience was, and found myself arriving at the logical conclusion that I had walked into a naturally-occurring worm hole. I feel a sense of satisfaction to know that the world we think we live in -- the limited way we live with money endless economic work routines, etc., etc. and the perceived lack of control in our lives -- is an almighty illusion. I know personally and with great satisfaction that there is truth out there, and that one day, I will have access to it all.

I have had this experience on my mind for many years now, and I have collected most of the detail , and it all points to my final conclusion of a worm hole, described by Einstein. I once went to see the Late Professor Dawber, a professor of Physics at Otago University fifteen years ago. I originally talked with him about wind farms, as that was his speciality at the time. I mentioned my time travel experience, and he listened with interest, and asked me if I had been dreaming, but listened intently and was very understanding.

I know for certain that time travel is definitely real, and I would love to experience it again. When I think back to the transition of time, moving from 1974 to 1910, when I walked through that office door there was no obvious change, no mystical or eerie feeling. If I hadn't thought about this experience over the years as I have, I would probably have forgotten all about it, so I imagine this sort of thing is an experience that might go on frequently, with most people dismissing it or not even noticing it in any way. After I walked into the office, the sensation was like walking into a museum wing that has no people and is completely silent and calm. The feelings I had were the same as being in a museum alone and looking at all the interesting details there for me to explore, and that's why I didn't immediately notice the presence of the young lady, until she told me off for playing with the phone. She was to the left of me and my periphial vision did not see her, so she must have appeared instantly as she never entered the room from a doorway. What was surprising to me about my experience was my calm involvement in it all; I put that down to my enquiring mind.

I love the detailed description you have of what you observed, and also your point about how over the years, this experience became increasingly meaningful and more understandable to you. There have been several well-known reports of traveling back in time and other varieties of time shifts, and yours is especially delightful!

Jane Goodall Alive Again

I was just reading your comment about remembering Jane Goodall dying and later finding that she was alive. I too remember her death announcement a few years ago. I went to her foundation site, and sure enough, she is taking speaking engagements at the present time. I read somewhere that when a person starts believing in reality/time shifts, synchronicity, life after death etc, that these events seem to happen more frequently. I know that's true, because I experience them frequently, but actually I think that because I believe in the possibilities, I just recognise them. they happen to everybody like you say, but people don't see them for what they are. If you tell someone of an experience/memory of "what was," they have doubts about your sanity.

Note from Cynthia: Thanks so much for writing with your recollections of Jane Goodall dying, and your later discovery that she's alive again. I was so deeply grateful to hear that she is still alive and well, and traveling with various speaking engagements!


Shifty Fennel Been Gone for a While

I don't know about this. Three weeks ago I needed some fennel for a new recipe, but there was no fennel in the house. I checked the spice trays at least twice. I shopped around, the grocery stores didn't have any. I realized that I would just have to wait till some came in. None of this was terribly important, so I never mentioned it. Finally last Saturday a store had one jar of fennel. I bought it and took it home and tonight I started using it in the new recipe. My mother says, "Oh I meant to tell you, there was fennel already here." She pulls an unopened jar off one of the little trays I'd checked three weeks ago. I replied, "When did you notice this fennel?" She said, "The day after you bought the new jar." I said, "Why didn't you notice it before?" to which she answered, "Well, people generally don't see things they're not looking for, and I never look for fennel because I don't really know what it is, and I sure wouldn't expect to have any." And I realized I'd never told her I wanted some. Mom turns the jar over and reads the print on the bot tom: Best used by October 2004. She says Maybe it's a good thing you did buy some.

Note from Cynthia: I just love the story about your "shifty fennel been gone a while"! Hopefully your fennel will stay where you can find it this time. It is very interesting to see something come back when you know for sure it was gone. How inspiring!

Recently I have been doing the workbook exercises in A Course in Miracles.After a month I got the feeling that the exercises prepare one to think on the lines of ACIM and not designed to remove unconscious guilt which is the main culprit in one's problems in life.So, what is the best healing modality to remove the unconscious guilt that has been accumulating for many life times? Please tell me whether any of the following works fast for that purpose.

Thank you so much for writing to me! I greatly appreciate your asking this question, as it's one that affects many people. While it's relatively easy to address matters on the conscious levels, the subconscious issues can sometimes continue to torment us for years after we feel we've addressed a particular issue or issues. I am familiar with and can recommend several of the modalities you mention, including: EFT, the Sedona Method, Byron Katie's The Work, Holotropic Breathwork, and Transactional Analysis, and another method called Psych-K. One of the tools I am currently find most useful for clearing up destructive long-held subconscious beliefs involves listening to subliminal recordings such as the work of Eldon Taylor, who includes a full-length subliminal CD in his latest book, "Mind Programming."

Eldon Taylor explains in this book the way the subliminal recordings work, and what statements are included on this CD, as well as providing links to many free subliminal recordings available through his Inner Talk web site. What I love so much about working with these subliminal recordings is you can get excellent results on your own, without requiring assistance from a trained specialist, as some of these other wonderful modalities require.

Regarding your question about how best to access a place before time which is Pure Potentiality of unlanguaged being, I suggest that meditation with the intention to access this state of consciousness works best. Make meditation a daily part of your life, so each day upon awakening and going to sleep you take at least a few minutes to clear your mind of all thoughts and feelings, simply focusing on the intention of what you most wish to experience. Regular daily meditation practice can bring you this experience you seek.

Shooting Star as to how one can best become sensitive and aware of invading entities, and how to benefit from a "quick fix remedies plan" when requiring assistance clearing negative energies. I particularly appreciate author C.T. Shooting Star's careful unveiling of the truth about shadow beings, including extensive descriptions of a wide variety of experiences with shadow entities, and how each was cleared. SHADOW PEOPLE provides straightforward assistance in dealing with all manner of energetic issues with excellent specific advice, such as the importance of letting go of all negative thoughts and loving yourself for who and what you are. This helps you stay well connected to the universal light force and increase your energy levels. SHADOW PEOPLE makes the excellent point that many disputes between families and friends are actually instigated by shadow people, and this cause deserves to be considered more often as the root source of conflict in many human relationships. I also love the way C.T. Shooting Star points out some of the additional benefits from our doing some energy clearing work on ourselves, in order to be much more aware and vigilant as to how best to protect ourselves and our family and friends from such attacks. Some readers may be surprised by the frequency and extent of negativity and attacks endured by author C.T. Shooting Star and his family, but the author explains that there was quite a bit of resistance to his writing the truth about shadow people in his books. I love the way SHADOW PEOPLE shows the advantages of using an effective assortment of different and varied tactics to ensure an energetically clear domicile. I also love the way SHADOW PEOPLE includes tips which are helpful on every level, such as the importance of letting go in order to make room for the now; "It's possible that there would be fewer earthbound spirits if this principle were followed." I love the suggestion that we learn to do the opposite of earthbound spirits, who get a rush out of struggling, and feeding their egos over their spirit. SHADOW PEOPLE is a tremendously enlightening and informative book on spirituality from a truly unique vantage point, and is recommended for readers fascinated by ghosts, the paranormal, spirituality, spiritual growth, psychic protection, angels, negative entities, and "things that go bump in the night." Highly recommended!
